RUN-OFF Elections Announcement: Please Read
Hello NSCSAS,
It has been an honor to serve you all, and I am excited to see what the future of NSCSAS holds. However, it is not yet time for that transition as we need to have a run-off for one of the positions.
Since the vote for special events chair fell within 1 vote between the candidates, we will be holding a run-off to decide the winner. You will only need to re-vote for this specific position.
The run-off ballot for special events chair is open now through this Friday, 4/19/24, at 5 pm. Any dues-paying or dues-exempt member of NSCSAS is eligible to vote in this run-off. Please read through each platform carefully before revoting, and may the best candidacy platform win. All elected individuals will be announced after the conclusion of the run-off.
Vote for Special Event Chair Here
Again, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding this matter, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Best,
Lauren Skyler
URGENT - NEW Elections Ballot
Hi NSCSAS,
Thank you so much to everyone who attended the meeting and has voted so far. There was a glitch in the last form that prevented folks from voting for 5 out of 7 positions, so a new form has been created. Thank you to everyone who notified us in such a timely manner after they voted. We really appreciate it. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for sticking with us as this was getting fixed.
This form now is verified to work! Please submit your votes here as any vote in the previous form will not be counted. The deadline remains the same on 4/12 at 12 pm.
New Ballot Link: https://forms.gle/Tao42AMoAVhJLYLaA
Thanks again everyone for sticking with us as this got fixed, and I hope you all have a great rest of your night/week! Again, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Best,
Lauren Skyler

Want to volunteer for a thesis study? Check out Lauren's announcement below !
Hi NSCSAS! I am currently running a study for the thesis and would love your help with either participation or spreading the word! To give a full picture of the study, I am interviewing women ages 18–25 living in Arizona for a research study on their reproductive care and life experiences related to recent birthright legal cases in the United States.
These interviews are being done to collect an oral history of women’s experiences during a time in history with increased debate on reproductive rights for women. The goal is to understand the lives of the wide spectrum of women in this era. If you agree to participate, we will do a one-time interview lasting 30–90 minutes.
The interview will ask you about your life experiences related to recent changes in reproductive law and recent birth-rights legal cases. You will also be asked about the impact of reproductive rights laws on your access to reproductive care, family planning, life decisions, and the doctor-patient relationship.
Participation is completely voluntary and I will maintain your confidentiality by anonymizing the testimonies provided. For your information, an Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The University of Arizona reviewed this research project and found it to be acceptable, according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of research participants.
If you want to participate, please email me at laskyler@arizona.edu for more details, and in the meantime, you can refer to the flyer below!
